We’ve all got different definitions of making magic happen. What’s yours?
I get really clear about what I want in life, set the intention in my journal to have it and then do my daily work of being great to attract it in divine time. I use the “become a flower and attract the bees” mindset for creating magic in life. It has worked wonders for my personally and professionally. Basically, I do everything like meditate, visualize, journal, read and practice affirmations to become the best version of myself and then do the tactical work of showing up to my life and do my best in the present work and tasks to attract what I want.
Of the things that you’ve accomplished in your life, what are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the way I chose to live my life. Full of love and passion and happiness. I know this sounds basic, but so many people don’t choose to live life this way and it makes me sad. My life is full of highs and lows and all the emotions of being fully alive, and I love every moment of it. I can honestly say I am living life to its fullest.
When you’re taking on a big new project, or you’ve set your eyes on a new goal, how do you actually, you know, make it happen?
I meditate and journal about it to get really clear about what it is I actually want. Then I write down my goals in my goal journal, tell my best friend and cheerleaders in life my goals and then take baby steps to make it happen. For example, sometimes I need to take a class or connect with someone and so I do those things. I do my half and let the Universe and Higher Power do the rest.
What books/tools/products/apps have helped you on your journey?
I read about 4 books per month and what has helped me the most is to take snippets from every book I read and write them on postcards. Then every morning, I pull out a notecard from the stack and read the excerpt from a specific book that’s on the notecard. This helps me stay connected to the teachings and wisdom and motivated along the journey.
Most of us living big, challenging, magical lives have met our fair share of naysayers. How have you dealt with that?
Honestly, I am very protective about who I let into my inner circle. I surround myself with loving, positive, supportive people and then filter the rest of the comments I get from the outside world. I just remember who I am and that everyone will have an opinion, but stay focused on the 40% of people who love me in life. That was a rule I heard once, that 60% of people will not like you and 40% will, so focus your time and energy on the 40% and filter yourself from the rest.
When you have moments of doubt or get distracted, how do you refocus on your goals?
I meditate daily and connect to my truth to help me stay in alignment. During the times I am doubtful or distracted, I share what I am feeling and thinking with my loved ones and have them support me through it. I ask them to remind me how great I am and tell me all those positive things about myself that I forgot. Then I let myself feel the feelings of doubt, stress or worry knowing that it will pass. I don’t push it down or pretend those feelings are not there. I just feel them, express them with my loved ones, and then let myself come back to the positive again when ready.
What’s the most magical thing going on in your life right now?
That I have a spiritual community that is so abundant and full of life. It was something I was looking to have in my life for many years, so having it now is truly incredible. This fuels me and every other area of my life. I am very blessed and beyond grateful to have it in my life.
If you could build a perfect day from scratch, what would it look like? (Where would you be? When would you wake up and go to sleep? Who would be with you? What would you eat/drink/do?)
OMG I love this question and ask people this all the time!
Okay, here is mine of which, most of it I have already minus the man! Lol.
Wake up early, meditate, write my 3 gratitude’s for the day. Cook a healthy breakfast and savor my delicious cup of coffee while listening to music and reading spiritual teachings to set the intention for my day. Walk my crazy fur baby Arya and connect with nature and feel the joy of being alive. Complete my daily prayer with my prayer partner, we say a prayer for one another every day. Head to the gym to read a good book to expand my knowledge, while I’m getting my cardio on. Get ready and head into the office for the day. Check in with my team and then head into all my meetings and calls for the day. Take a nice lunch break and call a friend or family member to connect, then head back into work for some more fun. Wrap up the day and head to a social event or do something creative at home. Connect with my man and enjoy each other’s company over dinner and then have tea talking about our days. Sleep early to rest and recharge my battery.
